This is an authentic and unusual combination of two different types of traditional Maasai woman’s head ornament. It incorporates two of the long leather ear rings usually worn through slits in the ear lobe with a joined disk usually worn as part of a status head dress suspended from the top of the head over the ears and under the chin. (Sometimes a coil of wire replaces the beaded disk). This piece is absolutley authentic, old and worn, as can be seen form the patina on the back. The ear pieces are each 14 cm / 5 ˝ inches long.
