Two antique Tetum heirloom horn spoons, Central Timor (DUJ)

These intricate buffalo horn spoons from the Tetum people of Central Timor are treasured as family heirlooms. These two are both excellent old examples with delicate geometric and abstract carved shapes and patterns. They are of considerable age, probabaly circa 1920, and have a good patina. The longer spoon is 23 cm / 9 inches long and the shorter is 18 cm / 7 inches long.
