Beaded Afghan belt with rosettes , Central Asia (WWJ)

This large fragment is the waistband for a belt. Note the similarity between the beadwork patters between the rosettes and the motifs found on tribal rugs form this area, particularly flat weaves. There is a beaded rosette at either end with a brass eyelet at the centre, and ribbons or cords were threaded through these eyelets to tie the belt. A nice older piece, 19 50s or 1960s. Length
